Greetings! It was my absolute pleasure a couple of nights ago to see the first episode of the remake of All Creatures Great and Small.
If you are not familiar with it, ACGS is a series set in the 1930s about the travails of a young Glaswegian vet, James Herriot, who takes up his first post in a rural farming community in the Yorkshire Dales.
Super sweet, gorgeous scenery, and likable characters, I was transported back to the 1970s when I would watch the first series with my family on a Sunday night. This series is arguably an even better remake β funny, heartwarming, suitable for all ages. It was quite simply balm for the soul.
The series with be shown in the US on PBS in January 2021, but if you canβt wait, the books are terribly entertaining. Back in the day, I owned them all.
Happy reading (and watching!)
