Greetings! I hope you are having a lovely week. The new Inspector Graham went off to my editor at the weekend, a day early! This step is always totally exciting. I thought I’d share a little about my new baby with you.
The title…
Choosing a title for a book can be a bit like choosing a baby’s name – sometimes you have to see the end result before you can be sure. While I didn’t need to have the entire book finished, it was close. When it came to me though, it was like being struck between the eyes with a dart. Ta-da!
The title of the #7 in the Inspector Graham series is… The Case of the Forsaken Child. I hope you love it as much as I do and that it intrigues you.
The book will be published next month. I will, of course, let you know all about it when that happens. There will also be a second box set comprising books 5-7 in the series.
The cover…
The setting for The Case of the Forsaken Child is a police conference that is taking place in Gorey. The cover, therefore, reflects that. I have swapped tea for water, but otherwise the cover follows the same format as others in the series – chairs, table, elements of the story.
Here is an initial sketch. I'll reveal the cover shortly.
Happy reading!
