Hello! Spring is in the air and it's warming up where I am. I'm having to get out for a run before 9am. Too hot if I leave it.
Having published Fireworks in France, I'm in between books at the moment and my life is always quite different during these times. When I'm writing, I get extremely focused especially just prior to publishing. I talk less, think more.
When I'm done, I get to play during the day, experiment, reacquaint myself with things like laundry, gardening, house projects that were put on hold. I grow my nails (I hate the clacking sound of nails on keyboard) and get them prettied up until it's time to file them down again as I turn my thoughts to the next book.
During this time, I get to read more too. I just finished The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. A huge hit in the UK, it is about a group of seniors who live in a retirement village and investigate two murders. It is fun and quintessentially English.
I'm going to spend the day reading my friend Diana Orgain's first in series, Bundle of Trouble. The Maternal Instincts mystery series is currently nine books long and features a new mom turned private investigator. You can get Bundle of Trouble for free on her website.
See you next week. Happy reading!
