About Dr. Marcus Tomlinson
Height: 5 feet 10 inches.
To understand that which is not patently understood.
To keep working for as long as he is able.
That ill-health will get him like so many of his patients, peers and fellow pathologists.
Has taken the comfortable, rather than the exciting, road in life and as such feels some emptiness and longing although he's not quite sure what for.
Writes thrillers in his spare time.
Hiking, sailing, writing.
Distinguished, professional, popular, he is regarded as a pillar of the community. Likes to socialize and generously patronizes local causes.
Marcus is divorced and seen as a “catch” by the ladies of Jersey. He has a grown daughter who lives in France. He enjoys the pace of life on the island and, after a period of emotional turmoil, settled there as a young man. He likes being a “big fish in a small pond” and keeps a very busy social calendar. He maintains contact with colleagues on the mainland and regularly travels to London to meet them. After decades on the island, they have finally given up asking him why he remains in a backwater. He is often the life and soul of the party but in his quieter moments, wonders if life has passed him by. Harbors dreams of being the next Lee Child or David Baldacci.
“Finished your latest book last night. Absolutely loved it.”
