“I have read all three of these books and each is better than the last! Ms. Golden takes a small village on a small island and makes it enticing with her descriptions of the surroundings as well as the intricacies of the various personalities. Each of the main characters has grown and evolved throughout the series and it's a joy to watch their progress.

Ms. Golden's plots are always very believable and well thought out. I must say, though, that this last book “The Case of the Forsaken Child,” I think, is the best so far.”
