“I love having a supply of cozy mysteries I can read before going to sleep at night but finding them is not always easy. A good cozy needs to be just as well plotted as any dark thriller, and the characters have to be likable without being overly sweet. Luck and coincidence needs to play a very limited role in the book. A touch of humor is a nice plus. Alison Golden's Reverend Dixon series and her Inspector David Graham series do all of these things well. They are cozy but never silly.”
