Hey there, lovely reader,
I've been head down, bashing away on my keyboard, finishing the new
Graham. It is booked in with my editor and should go off to her at the weekend.
Someone told me it's still August, so that's good. I'm on schedule and I plan to fly to the UK in a few days.
Reader's Question
Are you going to continue writing Inspector Graham books, hopefully indefinitely?
Well, perhaps not indefinitely π, but I have no concrete plans to stop. I have a “sort of” plan to write for another ten years. I have plenty of books in draft that will keep me going for all that time, including a few Inspector Grahams. I also have a brand new series, a trilogy, and the remaining books in the Roxy and Diana series to write.
I think I have several more Inspector Grahams in me, but I won't keep going forever. Quality is the most important thing. I never want readers to say that the series has diminished or is tired. That's not fair to my characters.
As with Annabelle, I will stop when the time is right. The Inspector Graham series won't be a 26 book series, for sure. But it might top out at fifteen.
Right, off to finish the final tweaks before I send the new manuscript to my editor. Have a lovely week. Don't forget to download your starter library!
Happy reading!
