Hey there, lovely reader,
The clocks have changed here in the US and I'm sitting at my desk at 5:30 a.m. (really 4:30 a.m!) writing, writing. I love the early morning – so peaceful and quiet. I typically go out for a morning walk at 6 a.m. for 90 minutes, after I have run a few checks on my inbox, social media, and drunk my favorite drink, instant coffee made with 2% skimmed milk. It's a stable, consistent routine that starts my days off just right.
Later, with three men in the house, things get noisier, and more difficult. I write in our dining area, the centre of the house – next to the stairs, the kitchen, and with a line of sight to the front door. Sometimes, it's like writing a book while manning reception in the middle of Piccadilly circus so I really appreciate these quiet, early mornings.
Today, after all the excitement of the Broken launch (reviews have been wow!) I have an announcement, an updated bonus, and news on what I'm doing next.
New audio release
I'm delighted to announce that the first Roxy audiobook is out. Marissa has done a fabulous job with it and is in the process of recording the next book in the series. One of the reasons I love Marissa so is her grasp of different accents. They distinguish and differentiate the characters. Listening to her is like listening to a radio play. This review of Mardi Gras Madness from trusted audiobook reviewer, Pete B sums it up:
“Boy, did I enjoy it. I have really enjoyed your other audio books, but quite honestly I thought that this one was on another level. Marissa has done an absolutely outstanding job of the narration, [she] really brings the characters to life and this combined with your excellent story has made the whole product absolutely brilliant. In fact, as I say in the review, I believe that it is by quite a long way the best audio book of the 150 or so that I have listened to on Audible.”

What I'm doing now
I finished Broken a little earlier than anticipated and am taking advantage of the extra time to get a little ahead of myself while I'm still in the Diana universe. I will be leaving there on March 30th because on April 1 my brain will travel to Jersey to find out what our friends there are up to. I'll spend several months with them and will return to finish Diana #6 when Graham #10 is published.
Happy reading!
