Hey there, lovely reader,

I'm taking the week off writing and will start again on April 1st, but have a few announcements to make. If you celebrate Easter, I hope you eat as much chocolate as you wish (which may be none, of course – I prefer hot cross buns) and have a lovely weekend.

I am reading the biography of Agatha Christie – I think I mentioned it before. I am up to the part where she causes her own real-life mystery by disappearing for several days sparking a huge (for the time) manhunt.

It is fascinating to me that when there is an unanswered question at large, the rush to provide answers is universal. The parallels between cases of people going missing in the current day and Mrs Christie a hundred years ago are extraordinary. There was lots of speculation, gossip, suspicion, and wild accusations concerning her whereabouts, just like there is today with any number of modern-day missing persons cases. It must be part of the human condition. I think that's why we enjoy fictional mysteries. Our brains just can't help answering the questions – where are they, who did it, and why?

Today, I have updates on my audiobooks, on Inspector Graham in German, and a comment on Star. Let's goooooooooooo!
